WELCOME MESSAGE

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I am delighted to welcome everyone to the MLSM Conference 2025.

This is our second MLSM Conference physical meeting post COVID-19 pandemic. We hope this conference can be a platform not only to bolster knowledge in medicolegal field but also the ethical, social and educational aspects of medical and legal practice. I sincerely hope that this meeting will also foster new ties and create interest in new areas of medical, ethical and legal practice in the country.

This year’s programme continues to include a wide range of topics from recent medicolegal trends and cases that have continued to create awareness and at the same time brought up controversies. This will be shared by experts from within the medical, legal, judicial, social and educational point of views. With the hope of putting together an enriching programme, we have featured a mixture of updates in what are the new challenges for the future and also a rethink of current practices and policies. Continuing from what we have started with the Medicolegal 101 series which has attracted many participants and create more awareness in medicolegal landscape of the country we hope to continue the society’s efforts to foster better awareness, understanding and cooperation between the medical, legal, social welfare and patient safety aspects in Malaysia.
